Los Angeles’ biggest food festival will hit the streets in May. Helmed by the Los Angeles Times, Food Bowl will bring the likes of Jessica Koslow, Massimo Bottura, Niki Nakayama, Mario Batali, April Bloomfield, Ludo Lefebvre, Magnus Nilsson and Phil Rosenthal all together for the monthlong celebration of food in the City of Angels.
The festival announced its full lineup of events yesterday. Expect night markets, dinners, volunteer projects, film screenings, collaborations and panels like LA Times food critic Jonathan Gold speaking about the enduring legacy of Julia Child. Food waste, art, sustainability, the Filipino food movement and more will be central topics.
